Problem statement
A salaried professional needs to manage their finances and insurance policies because they want to ensure their future goals are on track to be met and that their family will be secure regardless of what may happen in the future.
Key concerns
• Currently no way to capture their policy data
• User cannot get an overview of their financial health
• User needs advice on how to achieve their goals
• No alert system or tips to help the user make proactive decisions
Solution overview
Using the Design Thinking methodology, I selected activities that could be performed within the time-frame. After the competitor analysis, I decided certain extra features may be beneficial to the user - such as including a graph to chart and visualize their finance projections over time.
I wanted the interface to be inviting and casual. To achieve this I made use of Moku (the meerkat character) as the conversation starter. Even if a user was experiencing financial issues, I didn't want them to feel intimidated and instead be drawn to friendly Moku to request help and be guided to make decisions that could improve their financial health.
